Filipa Malva do Valle (Set & Costume Designer)
Filipa graduated in architecture at Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, and specialised in Scenography at Kent University, Canterbury. She has been involved in numerous plays in different theatres including the São Carlos National Theatre. Filipa was in charge of all scenic and costume design for The Winter’s Tale by William Shakespeare, The Human Voice by Jean Cocteau and Chapter Two by Neil Simon, as well as many other productions.
Philip Lindley (Lighting Designer and Production)
Philip began his career as an architect in the U.K. and, during that time, acted as scenic designer and lighting designer for numerous theatre and opera productions. In 1968, he joined the BBC Television Design Department in London and became senior designer in charge of the design staff. During this time Philip designed every genre of television production including talk shows, drama, light entertainment and opera. Career highlights include his designs for such BBC productions as Top Of The Pops, Dr. Who and Elizabeth I with Glenda Jackson. He is best remembered as the designer of the quiz show Mastermind which ran for 25 years. Philip has also worked as a freelance architect and theatre consultant before leaving the UK to live in Portugal in 2002.
Ana Catarina Mendes (Graphic & Web Design)
Ana has a degree in Image and Sound design from the Escola Técnica de Imagem e Comunicação. She has wide experience in website design including the Politika portal and the Portuguese Parliament webpage. For the past thirteen years she has worked with theatre companies creating and designing sound effects and videos for such plays as Black Comedy, Of Mice and Men, The Woman in Black and The Winter’s Tale.
